In the recent years, wireless communications have been part of human life where
people can communicate anywhere in the world with high speed communication.
People can play the games, upload videos, surf the internet, and use social media
services that have become essential part of life. To accomplish this task, Multiple
Input Multiple Output (MIMO) was breakthrough in the era of mobile technology.
The MIMO technologies have drawn the attention of mobile industry due to their
effectiveness in increasing the speed of data transfer without requiring more
spectrum efficiency [Paulraj et al. (2004)]. As technology became mature, the use
of multi antenna systems has increased rapidly. The brief historical background
and motivation for the MIMO technology are given in the following section. |
